The LanternShark

Our namesake is a shark native to the deepest, darkest parts of the ocean. Like us, it is a small shark in a big ocean and what sets it apart is its ability to bio-luminsce, or emit light.

Growing up in Los Angeles, David began working with lighting systems early in 2005 and got hooked on lighting for live entertainment. Since then he has honed his skills working as a production electrician, programmer, lighting director, and designer, collaborating with other lighting professionals on everything from tours and festivals to high end corporate events and trade shows. In the last year, with the COVID-19 Pandemic and subsequent shutdown of live entertainment on a near global scale, he made the leap into film lighting joining the IATSE Local 728 as a lighting programmer.
